Source for '99 FD Wheels?
Tim Benton said he has these wheels and the car brakes and handles like it's on rails (235 fronts and 255 rears), plus they are very light, which piqued by interest....anyone know where they can be had and for how much?

First I want to say I know very little about suspension/wheels.
I believe corksport sells them. I was thinking of going that route, but decided that if I'm going to spend the cash on new wheels I want something with a substantially larger foot print. I can see how the lower aspect ratio would probably be beneficial by itself, but if you're going to spend the money you might as well get something you can run 275s on. Most of the people I have spoken to, including M2 have suggested 18/10s. Of course then you have to get coilovers

I agree to a certain extent, but I wouldn't run wider tires. I'd get wider wheels to offer more support for the tires.
The stock '99 RS wheels are 8 and 8.5 x 17s, respectively, fr/rr.
IMO, you're better off running 8.5 and 9.5 x 17s for 235/45-17s and 255/40-17s, respectively fr/rr. The wider rims will offer better support and thus MORE performance from the stock '99 RS tires sizes, than mounting wider tires would, as you won't be able to take advantage of the wider tire section widths. 275s also introduce a host of other problems, such as gearing (too tall), front fender well clearance, and added tire weight.
Which brings me to starting up another thread...where can I find the stock '99 RS tires? These are Bridgestone Potenza S-07s in 235/45-17 and 255/40-17s!?
