Okay, so my '88 GXL's suspension is all kind of messed up. Also, it's soft, very soft. I have an '89 GTU parts car with a nice stiff suspension, are these two completely interchangable? Thanks.

I'll probably be wrong, but I can't see why not?
Since you already have the parts, just take out one of the front strut/spring assemblies from the S5, and try to fit it into your S4. The only thing that may be different would be the bolt locations. If those line up, you should be fine.
Edit: I just remembered, also. When looking at parts online, you don't need to specify S4 or S5, so that must mean that it's universal for both...
