review of JIC FLT A2 on FD
Well,
take this short review with a little grain of salt as I only have a half-day of seat time on the new suspension and previously my suspension was a touring with an original 100,000+ miles....
First the installation was pretty simple, just plug and play. The rears where perhaps the simplest....remove the old ones then put the JIC's in....the only stutter was that the rear strut tower bar was a little tight and we had to have the coilovers dropped down then slightly push up to fit....damn that strut bar is TIGHT!
The fronts are a lil PITA....you have to remove the original shock that goes through the upper A-arm...putting the shorter JIC's in though is simpler
The previous owner of the JIC gave me some advice on the install and it seemed to have work...basically, install the back first and right height BEFORE you finally bolt it onto the car...also when comparing it to the stock suspension for height....lower it a lil more than you would think due to the fact that the spring compresses less than stock.......
The quality looks top rate....I am really impressed (even with a used set with less than 400 miles on them). The only thing that would be nice is a similar OEM bracket that holds the brake line like the stocker....
Finally, the ride......
Set on almost totally firm the car felt AMAZING....I could spin it around corners and it was totally flat! Less noticable nose dive too on braking.....Also driving around on some city streets was all and all not bad at all. BUT, on the drive home on all the bumps of the highway......I started to get motion sick from all the bouncing!
I set the settings then on four clicks past total soft and now it feels like my touring.....really comfortable......but at the same time when I put it in a corner.....wow.....stiff and the car stays flat......
this is GREAT!
Thanks all from the Dallas forum for the help on the install, and to those of you who have the JIC's give me some feed back to your daily and track settings....
All and all a great product and HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

i had on corner balanced a few months back when i got the jic put on. there isn't much adjustment. except the driver side is a little taller than the passanger when i'm not in the car. that's the only different i notic lol. the car is pretty much balanced.

7racer is your car the montego blue with no wing?
I think you might have been parked next to me at steaknshake on satnight. I had the other montego car.
I noticed your car was a lot lower than befor, looked good i would like to get my car corner balanced or at least check the weights sometime. let me know if you find a place. I might have a source, I will check into it.
unless i have the wrong person than nevermind..

Nawwww
Ya that was me! Eric and Allen helped with the install just a couple hours before that same day!
I do want to corner balance it and perhaps raise the drivers side up a bit...but would like to see the balance of the car.....
The only problem is that I am not quite ready....
I need the brakes done in the worst sort of way and would like to upgrade the wheels and tires...
If I decide to go the cheapy route and keep everything the same...I need to get new rubber and the alignment then the balance....
NICE care BTW....
Right now I am really debate doing a 99spec conversion and IBM or that titanium metallic....but that is alot of $$$$$
