I never put them on a scale but I thought I saw them @ 15.9! I think they are posted on the wheel section above.

So sleepr1, are you keeping, selling or what? I thought you were keeping them? Dont tell me you are selling for those chrome 22's!! Ha!

Skate,

Keeping them, and will end up buying another 8.5 and 9.5 x 17 with tires, for spares when I drive to/from open track events

You da man, Ned! I just wish you'd be at Mid Ohio August 13/14...who else is going to take my picture...seriously your pic at the May 9/10 PCA DE is the only internet pic I have of my car with SSR Comps on track, so THANKS for being at the hot grid that day!!!

I was thinking of buying those rims and now it looks like I'm definitely getting the SSR's rims. So how much did you pay for them?

I just noticed that you have a Mitsubishi Montero Sport. I was thinking of buying a 1999, do you recommend the Montero Sport? I want to get a trailer and tow my FD with it.

Hey Reckless, I saved a little on my wheels and tires because I bought 2 wheels used and got a good deal on tires from Max Cooper. But in 17's you can get them from Richie or the Tire Rack for around $1600.
I actually have 2 motero's. One 92 SR model and the 2000 xls sport in the pic. I have enjoyed them but have been thinking of getting a mini van for the wife since I have twin boys due in 11 weeks!!! So the sport will probably go. I have only had one issue with it, I can feel the streering wheels vibrate bad at times back and forth. First, I had a alignment done, felt good for about 3 weeks then it came back. The shop told me the tires were bad in front so I bought new ones and it was great for 2-3 months. Now its back again but just lightly. Anyway I rate them pretty good overall in my book. My 1992 SR has 135k. I really like it better than the 2000. Good luck getting the wheels. Mike

Yeah, that's pretty wild...I guess they need that much down-force to keep the rear-engined weight bias in check through some of Mid Ohio's fast sweepers

Hey, sleepr1, We (few of us FD owners) are working on putting together a "Music City RX-7 Convention" in Nashville around the first part of November (11-2 and 11-3). It's still in the making but if you and friends are interested in coming down let me know. Also spread the word. We want to make this HUGE.. It will consist of an autocross, dyno w/ wide band, a cruise, car show/ BBQ and maybe some drag strip time. remember this is still in the making so some events might change or be added. I am just trying to spread the word around. let me know if you are interested or just go to the southeast section and look under Nashville car show. Also this is for all generations of rx7's. Mike
