Red FD with SSR Comps.

Just thought I would post pics of my SSR Competion's since I finally got pics of them. They are 17/9.5 and 17/8.5 with 265/40 rear and 245/40's front. Car is lowered about 2 inches. Slight rub if I am at a full lock turn but very mild.

Are those rims gunmetal? The look money on your car. How much did you pay for them?

Skate,

Wow they look great! I think I'll keep my SSR Comps--decals and all!

BTW, what tire sizes did you end up going with? What tires?

Thanks for helping me KEEP my Comps

SSR comps

Sleepr-1, I went with 245/40 front and 265/40 rear. I got a good deal from Max Cooper on these (t1-s) Toyo's.
I love the looks, not to much BLING but really sets the car off. Glad to here you are keeping yours..

half past 12, I took a pic of the wheel close up so you could see the color better. It is like a light gray gunmetal but called "Anthracite" with machined polised lip.. Look at the last pic I posted above.

sk8world: Very nice, I was checking out the Comps as well since the A2s are no longer available. The only problem I see is how small the stock brakes look with 17s!

rynberg,
I know what you mean but I really do not think it is that noticable when you are standing looking at the car. Your eyes go to the lines of the car and the wheel itself. I do agree that when guys paint there stock calipers it brings much more attention and there for making the small rotors seen.. But I am planning on a big brake kit anyway... along with everything else...

Yeah, I hope you didn't take offense, I think the wheels look great.

SleepR1: That upgrade is far down the list at this point! Although I do see Jesse Lau's got the full set for sale right now....damn new house, can't spend money on the Seven right now.

7&7, Sleepr-1 is correct in the sizes. He also has a set, maybe you can talk him out of them!!! Other wise try Rishie or the tire rack..

RX-8, thanks! I do not drive it that much anymore and never in the rain, lots of polish and wax days!

Also after looking at a stock FD the other day I do not think my car sits 2" lower, atleast not in the back. I have the Eibach pro kit with yellow koni's set at the lowest perch. So more like 1 to 1.5 " lower. Anybody know the stock ride height?
