Racing Brake Front BBK
Back in 2007, in the group buy of RB brakes; I purchased their rear BBK, and the two piece OE fronts which they no longer make/sell.
Last week I installed their original OE offset front BBK with ET700 pads which sell for less than the perfect fit short offset kit. Thanks to Mike I also got a discount due to being in the original buy.
The install was easy including the little grinding that was required. The only item requiring more effort was that I needed 4 extra washers over the 4 they supplied. These are used to insure that the 4 stock bracket bolts do not protrude out of the attachment tabs on the hubs.
One improvement of these over stock and even over their two piece rotors, is the eliminations of that front brake pulsing feeling that occurs from high speed stops.
This feeling is not caused by warped rotors but by the caliper wobbling a little under high torque stopping. The RB kit stops without that feeling.
These are the best brakes on any car that I have owned since my 1968 Alfa Romeo.
Thank you Howard, the ET700s work great on the street, even when cold.
