Question Poor Braking...... lousy pads?

I have an 86 GXL with 4-piston calipers.... i have fairly new cross-drilled brembo rotors up front and powerstop rotors on the rear. I have crappy Raybestos brake pads all around...... braking requires alot of effort and when i'm parked in my driveway, the e-brake (if not lifted really really high) does not prevent the car from rolling backwards when the car is not in gear....

Could it be the pads..... or possibly the caliper pistons?

Could be either. Check the calipers to make sure they work, and get some good pads like Hawk HPS or HP+.
