Poll AME wheel color?

i have a set of AME circlar spec-r bbf. They are the all polished ones. I want to get them anodized either black or gold.
They are going on a black 94 FD with a FEED hood, bumper, and side skirts. what color should i anodize them?
or should i just keep them all polished?

Dude, keep them polished. That finish is so damn expensive you would basically be killing the value of that wheel. That BBF is like a Polished Platinum, so amazing. Had them on my RX8 and have installed them on countless customer vehicles.

I guess it all comes down to the color of your car but i think it's a damn shame to do that.

FYI, those wheels are powdercoated. To anodize them would require lots of work in terms of stripping, then polishing again, then anodizing.

I bought them for a real good deal. i bought them new for a used wheel price. the only problem was that AME just discontinued the gold and black wheels. i have a local shop that will cut the wheels apart and anodize them or powder coat them. what ever i want to do. I have always liked the look of gold wheels with a gold lip on a black car. this is how they look on a black car.

Depends what look you are going for. If your going for more of a show, clean look then keep them polished. If your going for more of a racer look paint them matte black. IMO i dont think they would look to good in gold. I think your just wasting money that could be used elsewhere, they look sweet polished.

I would keep them polished if they are going on a black car.

I bought them from a local shop in tucson called Densetsu. They bought them from a guy on the forums that had a new set of fronts. they got damaged at a car wash. BTW if you are looking for a set they took about 3-4 months to come in and were not very cheap. but they r a great set of rims.

That was a different set.

This setup came off a

Stock Front Fender
Petit Rear Fender FD.

STock Front, Widebody Rear. See how massive hte rear lip is.

I think these wheels went out to Georgia or some state out towards east coast.

Rishie, I'm not getting that those are the exact wheels he has in that photo... Rather him just showing what the wheels look like (at least from his post). *If* he is saying those are the exact wheels he bought, then I'm miss understanding his post.
