Pitted stock wheels ..will another auto manuf. wheels werk?
I have a 1985 RX 7 and the stock wheels (13's) are pitted from years of salt and street parking by previous owners. Well it finally has a nice garage to live in and I would like to replace the wheels with a more up to date fitment. maybe 15's ...14's minimum.
My question is....Is there any "direct" replacement from another vehicle (or manufacturer) that could be used? I know front wheel drives have proliferated the market over the last 20 years but some decenent looking alum. factory wheel off another vehicle that could be found at a junk yard (buddy owns a scrap/junk yard).
I could pick something like that up for next to nothing from him if I coudl tell him to keep a look out for a "19__ to 20__ chevy something"
I know s10 owners use old camaro wheels all the time...this is kinda what I'm thinking/dreaming.
