Ok I found some tires for the back, now I am working on locating some for the front, I found an exact match the only problem is I am not sure about the offset. I seen ted recommends for the front a 17x8 +25 to a +30. These are 17x8+24mm. WIll they work and if so what size tire can I put on without it rubbing or sticking out past the fender?

I really like how a 225 / 45 / 17 fits on a 17" x 8.0" rim.
I really don't like going narrower than that, and it gets into hipari which I absolutely abhor.

Yeah, I think it's going to get in the way of the stock fenders, but you should be able to roll it enough to clear up front.

Depends on the tires, but I wouldn't want to run those widths, cause I would normally run at least a 255 on a 9.0" and 275 or 285 on the 10.0".

I have a chance to pickup some RP02's that are 18 by 7.5 with +48 offset.

Any idea if or what these would fit like? (1991 Coupe)

they might fit, but you'd really want to use some spacers. even though they're wider, the offset would have them inwards more than the stock wheels.

They will not fit up front.
They will fit in back no problem.

What kinda wheels are you thinking of getting?
If you're talking about Japan stuff (Gram Lights?), they only make several different offsets available...

Ok one last question, I finally bought some wheels. I got 17x8+30mm for the front, I bought some 17x9+36mm for the rear. Now for the front I was thinking 235/45/17s for the rear I wanna do 275/40/17s. I have seen people say that with a 17x9+35mm that you can run a 275. What I am wondering will the 1mm differance in the rims I bought not allow me to run the 275s? If not what about 265s? Any reliable input is greatly appreaciated as I plan on buying tires from the TireRack, and I want to be sure of the fitment.

Well, I really haven't decided, I'm just trying to get an idea of what I can use, so when I look for wheels, I know what will fit and what won't.

There are a bunch that I thought would be nice, but I'm not sure if I can use them.

I am open to suggestions on a nice set of wheels.

My tires are 265/40/17 Yokohama AV1-40 with 17 by 9 Volk GTU with either a 34 or 35 offset forgot the offset. But I know its in the mid-low 30's. Either way Swany, as you can see it still has plenty of room to run 275's. Hope this helps.

PLENTY of room between the strut and tire.


THe pic doesn't show it as accurate as in person but stil 3/4 inch left between the tire and trailing arm.


Although the car is lifted, if you want to be low the worst I see you doing is rolling fenders.

Just keep in mind that if you still have the stock DTSS, the rears toe in / out under load...

I would like the 7.5" to run about +35 on the offset, so you're looking at a minimum 1/2" spacer...

big spacers, like 1/2 inch+, means that you should be using an expensive "hub-centric" spacer. these not only cost a good deal of money, but they are also not fool-proof when it comes to breakage. they HAVE been known to break if you use them under extreme conditions (i.e. drag race launches) and i don't think it's a good idea in general to run a spacer that big...but lots of people do.

Not really.
It'll look like a 7.5", +35 wheel unless you go look at the hub area.
I don't think many people would care you're running a spacer!
