My car is a track car only pretty much.. But yes the tires wear perfectly on the track, and have tons of grip. It works well on the street too, but it is not the way you would want to set up a daily driver.

You can make 255s work with a little less camber up front, close to 2 degrees, but it may rub the fender more and require more aggressive rolling.

Cool, thanks for the info!

One more question--how much extra clearance does fender rolling give in the front and rear? I'm talking about something that looks stock from the outside, just rolling, not pulling.

Probably 1/4". You want them rolled though, especially in front because you don't want the tire to catch the fender lip. The rear is harder to roll, because the metal is doubled up.

Ok team, my turn! Looking for as big as I can go without rubbing. Here is what I have:

17x8 +35
17x9 +35

Not looking for hellaflush, just a nice look. I was thinking 225/40 and 255/35 but can't find many good choices in those sizes - even if my calcs are right on sizing.

You need 235/40 and 255/40 tires for those wheels. That will give you many more choices.

Those offsets should be fine. If you can get the fronts in a lower offset, I would. Something in the + 30 range or even in the +20s would be fine.

Getting some real ssr type c wheels for my vert in 18x8.5 +thirtysomething from a friend willing to let the set go with tires and centercaps for 1000. Front and rear will need spacers forsure, as the wheels made contact with the springs when test fitting them.

Rear will fit perfectly with spacers as they do not quite reach out enough to be flush yet anyway, so that works out

But the fronts are already like perfectly flush WITHOUT spacers. Worried about that. Any advice as to what I should do to fit them without molesting the fender TOO much? I don't mind rolling or a bit of pulling but trying to remain 100% stock bodied.

You can't get that much camber with bolts up front, the hub hits the strut.

Well the strut itself should be able to put out at least 1.5, maybe more. So the bolts would probably be adding to that.

What suspension setup do you have? Unless you say coilovers with camber plates, the stock style front suspension has 2 positions for front camber, and that is based on how you bolt on the top hat. Niether position offers much negative camber. You will gain almost nothing with the camber bolts.

How well would these fit on stock fenders with coilovers? Im not sure what size tires id need deff a little stretch at least
16x8 -10 front

Whats the widest wheel i can fit in the front with stock fenders? And what offset at that width? 17 or 18 inch wheel btw

235 is the minimum size recommended for a 9 inch wheel.

If you want to run a square setup with large tires with stock fenders you need a 17x9 wheel in a mid 20s offset. Honestly a +30 with a 1/4 inch spacer in front would be perfect because you would have a little more room for a 255 tire in the rear.

If you want to run 235/40 or 245/40, you can do that pretty easily with close to -2 degrees of front camber. This is a great street setup. You'll need to roll the front fenders. If you want to do 255s you'll need to roll the rear fenders too.

Here is my car on 17x9 +24 and 255/40/17 NT01s which are huge for a 255. The front just fits, the tire touches the swaybar at full lock.

This is -3 degrees camber

You need a 17x9.5 in the +35 to +38 range, and a 12mm to 15mm spacer in the front. If you run a +38 you can run up to a 5mm spacer in the rear. The pictures below are a 17x9.5 +38 with a 5/8" spacer in front and a 255/40/17 RS3.

Just bought some cosmis mrII's from a buddy of mine. Specs are 18x9 with +15 offset. Can't wait to see what it's going to look like when I repaint her blaze red.

12k/9k. It is a track car, so there no need to go that stuff for a street car. For how stiff it is it rides ok on the street though.
