New Endless FD-specific front Big Brake Kit......
I don't know all the details yet, but this is what I was told by a friend at Endless this morning:
The Endless Racing Mono-4 caliper has been created using the best materials available for racing brake systems currently as well as several thousand tons of high pressure forging. Based on the Race data from the larger Racing Mono 6 sold for the fastest road/time attack cars in the world as well as being supplied into professional motorsports use for Super GT, WRC and several top categories of racing. The Racing Mono-4 has been created to exceed the demanding braking needs of cars competing P-WRC, WRC (S2000 Class), Intercontinental Rally Championship, All Japan rally championship as well as fast road cars that need a 4 piston caliper for wheel clearance and ideal brake balance. Endless has now created a complete brake system for the 1993-2002 Mazda FD3S RX-7 using this latest technology.
Key Features of this Brake system:
-Forged Monoblock 4 piston caliper (Motorsports grade)
-Stainless Steel pistons w/ Titanium piston caps & piston cooling holes
-355mm x 32mm/72 vane high efficiency disk
-Piston sizing choice for 93-98 rear brakes as well as 99 spec rear brakes
-Hard anodized Duralumin rotor hats with TUFRAM Coating.
-Any choice of Endless Brake pads available

Beautiful kit, I love the rotors. I really miss the old calipers though, the aethetics of the new design are far inferior IMO. Did you guys hear anything on price? I would imagine somewhere around 3k?

This kit will ALWAYS be more expensive than most any other kit out there, but a couple thoughts/questions that might change the equation a little:
1. These are full race calipers, so if they hold up to abuse better (they have Ti capped pistons, better seals, etc.), and require much less frequent rebuilds, that's big consideration.
2. Likewise with these rotors, from a mass and ventilation standpoint... I trash rotors fairly often...BUT, how much are the replacements for this kit?
3. Pads. The problem with most FD kits is the pads are thin, so once the material is about the same thickness as the backing plate, you need to change them (or you start trashing the caliper seals from heat)... SO, if these pads are a common shape and aren't more expensive than others (around $300-$350 a set), AND they are thicker (I know they are), that's not insignificant either.

This Racing Mono 4 is an ADDITION to the Existing Kits Endless already offers for the FD which include 4 piston, Mini 6 piston & 6 piston 2 piece caliper kits.
The existing Endless kits use forged 2 piece calipers with a hard anodized blue finish as standard (other colors available).
The pistons are aluminum alloy, titanium piston caps are not available and max pad thickness is 18 mm. The rotor hats are anodized blue, not the harder racing anodized finish as well.
The standard kits also come with the Curved Vane disks as pictured. The Racing Mono 4 kit comes with Racing E-Slit disks (better pedal effort/pad release characteristics). The Racing E-Slit disk is the same disk/slot pattern (same metallurgy) that Endless use for the disks supplied into Super GT, ALMS & Various other forms of motorsports in the world.
While the existing kits are pretty good in itself for track use (R-Magic runs the 6 piston/Racing Big 4 rear kit using a 345 x 32 front/ 332 x 30 rear with E-brake delete on the Pink #4), these forged mono-4/6 kits were made for the FD & Other cars using true motorsports grade materials for best performance and long life under harshest conditions.
The FD is not a brake challenged car, but that does not mean it does not have it's weaknesses.
The kit is expensive, I should know final price soon, but I guarantee it will be even more expensive to make a similar kit with racing hardware sourcing pieces individually. Endless stuff never was cheap to begin with, however, most Endless users do save money long run while getting the performance they demand for anything from time attack to an all out 24+ hr endurance race.

I approximate $6700.00 MSRP, lol. Not a penny less......
I got/had Endless Brakes on my FC, S13, RX8, and xA. lol. I liked them so much I put them on a friggin VIP'd out xA. Although the dollar was much stronger back then so they were cheaper.
I believe the Standard 6Pot Mini/6Pot would run around $4K. Ganesh would know best.

Endless is an amazing company that continues to innovate and dominate, even in this economy. This is simply an amazing kit, no question.
I still love my Zeal coilovers and wish I had the $$$ for more Endless tech.

I'd like to, but I may be upgrading my turbo system this winter. Combined with the Recaro Profi SPA seats, Raceshop Rollcage, OS Giken forged gearset etc etc...... not sure I can spring for these right now.
I've been happy with my RB setup thus far, but think this Endless setup is pretty much the ultimate so would love to have it on my R1
