i've got to say i'm a little disapointed. I have been really looking forward to following your CYM and the beast it will be. But you just had to go and pick my least favorite wheel and put it on! haha, but that's ok. that's why it's your car and not mine (although I wish it was mine, i'd even make an exception for the wheels) haha... keep us updated on the progress - looks very clean

This is what I did:
I cant remember the grit but basically I sanded, lightly , just the letters with fine sandpaper going in one direction first then sanding 90 degrees (the opposite direction) then went with super fine and did the same.
The reason you sand in 90 degrees is because of light refraction. You want it to look (be as shiny) the same no matter which way you look at it.
I have a die grinder with a polishing wheel, but you can pick up an attachment for a drill. Sears I know sells a kit that attachs to a drill that includes a wheel, tripoli and rouge.
After it is sanded and looks "shiny" Use the wheel with tripoli in the same directions as with the sand paper. It look almost if it is done. Then use rouge will letters will be BLING.
Mind you I did this with caliper removed. I did pads and braided lines same time.
And I polished the letters BEFORE I painted.
Simply masked the letters by using some wide masking tape and rubbed my thumb (which was dirty) across the letters and it made the letters show on the tape. Then I used a Exacto knife and cut around the letters. Then I painted.
Sounds like alot but was really really easy and worth it. I will try and post pics.
