megan vs tein ???
so i just sold my drift FC that had TEIN HA coilovers on them. i loved the stiffness and the practically ZERO body roll even on the softest level.
i just purchassed my next project (turbo vert FC) which i also plan on sliding around quite a bit
i recently discovered megan racing coilovers that cost just over half of what i paid for the TEINs. I've read the reviews in the 240sx forums, and i watched as megan worked out the kinks through members on the forums. they seem to be a carring company, but i couldnt find any reviews from a 7 owner.
has anyone owned a set of both tein coilovers and or megan coilovers?
what did you think?

Absolutely not, speaking from what I have read with FD owners, they were VERY disappointed with Megan coilovers. If you have to, buy a set of used tein's, you definitely get what you pay for. IMO, I was never a big fan of teins, but their is NO comparison to Megan, not even close.

BC Racing Coilovers have been getting good reviews. I'm thinking of picking up a set soon.

You can get different spring rates. Standard is 8k/6k i think. They have up to 12k/10k. Out of the one year warranty the shock cartridges are 95 each. As far as I know they are the only coilover company offering this.
Check out the extensive reviews on the NASIOC site.

ive only had tein products on my old s13.. first Tein HR coilovers, than to Tein HE (both are discontinued). The damper adjusting clicks on those HE's sucked.. (sometimes you dont feel the click) But im sure newer Teins are better.
You can always get Tein's rebuilt and order their springs etc.
My FC has megans. I dont play around anymore so the megans are fine for my use which is just daily driving right now. If its for street, megans are good enough.
A month or so ago, i was tempted to order some tanabe springs to replace whats on the megans when they had them on sale for fairly cheap.. was considering stepping up the spring rate.
Anything is better than Ksport and D2. Friend threw Ksport coilovers on his Lexus ls400 and they blew withen a month, but Ksport was cool enough to send him a replacement strut free of charge. So these budget companies aint too bad, they try to work with their customers.
There was a guy in teh classifieds selling fresh set of tein HEs, i thought about buying them and then selling my megans to make up for some of the cost. but making big purchases isnt really in my budget right now.

thanks for all the responces guys!
and nah, this car isnt gonna be strictly for street. I plan on tracking it for drift and grip on weekends.
i think ill dodge the megans and go for TEINS again. though i would like to look into those BC racing coils
