lots of susp questions for my 87 sport

ok I admit I do not know much about susp yet but I am willing to learn

so far my ride is stock as far as the susp is
I am looking into gettin a set of coil overs but unsure of spring rates I should get so far I have heard that 375f/225r would be a good setup. would this cause the car to be nutral though?
and how would a stiff spring rate like that do on the street, since this is still going to be my daily driver.
stiff ride is not that bad. just dont want to jar myself around like I am riding with everything welded together.
and would I need to get a camber/caster plate for this setup?

and any ideas on what kind of damper would be good for that setup
so far I have heard KYB AGX or koni's

looking for a set of 17 inch rims for my car also and I like the looks of the oz F1 rims but they are heavy (25lbs) does anyone know of someone that makes a rim that looks the same but is a little lighter

if you guys have any other ideas out there please feel free to throw them out there

375/225 would be a good spring rate for a neutral handling car. I have 375/325's on right now, because, uh, well, I wasn't smart when I put them on, and my car oversteers like a !@#$%, but its fun to drive. I have a set of 250's that I am going to stick on when it ever dries up here in Oregon, so my car will probably have a slight tendecy to oversteer, which is how I want it. 375/225's won't be bone-jarring or anything on the road. Springs don't really give you that teeth rattling feeling when hitting bumps, its stiff struts that cause that. Unfortunately with 375/225 you are going to need stiff struts to be able to properly dampen the springs. I have stock struts right now and the struts are WAY overpowered by the springs, so my ride is VERY bouncy. But its a stiff bounce, as opposed to a rolling motion like what you get in a big'ol luxory car. KYB AGX's I've heard are a pretty good deal for the money. They are adjustable, and supposedly their stiffest setting is stiffer than Tokiko's stiffest setting. You can find a set of KYB AGX's for under $400, which is a great deal IMO. Koni's are gonna be better shocks, but the they are gonna cost you a lot more. If you have the money, get the best shocks you can. If not the KYB's should work for you. You don't NEED a camber/caster kit, but you might want one. Lowering your car, will cause your rear to have more negative camber than you probably want, so you might want to get the rear-camber adjuster from Racing beat or Mazdatrix. If you are planning on getting coilovers, you probably won't need to worry about struts as struts will come with most coilovers. The only exception I can think of is the Ground Control kit, which is what I have. Its only $400 and its just a threaded collar and spring perch that fits over your existing strut and spring perch. It also comes with springs, which you get to specify the height, and stiffness of. Ground Control also sells camber/caster plates for $279 I think, but I'm not sure on the price.

I got a killer deal on the OZ F1 plus, 17,8 and 17,9.5 fitments for the FC. I have pics of this rim on a 89 N/A.

Cheap like $850.00 or so for the rims.
