Looking for source for StopTech brakes

Hello,

Looking for some options on distributors for StopTech brake kits. There were a few places that seemed to have competitive prices but I don't remember who they were. Any help here would be greatly appreciated!

All the places I have seen all have the same prices (as well as ordering directly from Stoptech). I doubt you'll find a cheaper price unless you can find a used set.

Well, post up the discount. From what I see on his site, his prices are no different than anyone else's for the Stoptech.

Dave Z's an all-around good guy, so if you're going to pay the same price anyway, his pockets are as good to line as anyone's. Nick @ N-Tech also sells 'em...

I'm not saying Dave isn't a good guy, just that each place sells the same kit for the same price (which was the original poster's question as to who has a better price). If Dave does a discount, it would be nice to know about it; but from his website its the same as every other place.

I'm in the process of inquiring with Dave and Nick about a Stoptech kit. In regards to Nick, he won't take a credit card and wants payment up front, which exposes me financially for a not inconsiderable sum. His web site is under construction and he has other personnal issues going on. I've searched the Good/Bad forum with no results. Anyone have any opinions in regards to N-tech and Nick?

A brake upgrade can be a large investment, so your concern is understandable.

However, I've done business with Nick for years as has my brother and numerous RX-7 colleagues. I've never had a problem with his service or responsiveness- something that cannot be said for many aftermaket tuners. Nick is a well respected member of the RX-7/Nissan community and was a former police officer. Additionally, he is a well respected member of his local community, having assisted neighbors during difficult times (in particular after a hurricane that smashed through Central Florida not too long ago).

As regards to his website, Nick is quite busy with his family, his local customers, and product development/pipeline, thus may not have time right now to update his site.

With respect to personal issues. I'm not sure that is relevant.

I'm sure othere will chime in as well.

Regards,

Gene

I have purchased some expensive brakes with payment up front from Nick in the past, and he delivered as promised. I have also purchased various other parts from Nick and never had any trouble.

I agree with everything Gene says. Nick has always been up front, honest and a man of his word. N-Tech is his family business and only means of support. Nick's also a long, long term RX7 guy from way back in the early days. Buying from N-tech is like buying from a family member.

I have also dealt with Nick on several occasions and have never had a problem. He is a trust worthy guy and is always willing to do the right thing to make good for the customer.

Any thread that brings Gene and Brad out of the woodwork must be a good one. I'll "third" the recommendation for nick, he's a good man who's always come through on my typically late calls for brake pads!
