looking 4 picts of 19 or 18 inch rims on fc3s (all haters welcomed, picts-n-specs)

search results gave me nothing, (except the Reted vs BoostinmyS5 debacle, which had helped massively)

https://www.rx7club.com/showpost.php...postcount=2404

but if you have picts and specs on 19 or 18 inch rims on an fc3s, can you post em? (widebodied or not)

....PLEASE

Go for a width and offset combination that falls within the chart in the link and you'll be fine.

http://www.fc3spro.com/TECH/MODS/RT/rims.htm

Then get a tire that's pretty close to the stock diameter, like a 225/40/18 or a 265/35/18. I don't know if it's possible to maintain the stock diameter when going to 19's though. If you get tires that are taller than stock it'll slow you down (equivalent to taller gearing), it'll raise the car up, will increase problems with rubbing if you're going to encounter them and they'll be heavier.

The larger the wheel diameter and the heavier the wheel the more power it'll take to accelerate them, making the car slower. It'll also dull the handling from the increased unsprung weight. I feel that 17's are the right size for the FC, I think it looks right, there's plenty of selection in wheels and tires, and you can still get some pretty light wheels to minimise the performance robbing effects.

ah, tochae, but then with a wide body kit i cant go with 17s as they will leave apin-gaps...

18s will fill the front end up nicely but leave a 1inch gap in the rear

19s will fill up the rear nicely but leave a 4x4 effect in the front

therefor, a guesstimate for flush fitments on a mild wide body would be
18x9 or x10 (-6 to +20) in front while
19x10(-16 to +25) in the rear

pulse i am still looking for pictures to prove my and your theory correct. :talking:

If you don't want a gap then lower the car, don't just put big wheels and tires on it to make up for it. That'll compromise the handling and raise the car up. You can get 17's on a widebody no problem, others have done it. For instance you can use a 255/40/17 and a 275/40/17 on some 17x9's and 17x10's. Post the specs of the widebody, because without knowing how much wider it is it's impossible to tell if a wheel will fit properly.

Problem with 17's is that for some odd reason, there's a lot of holes in the sizes.
Hard to find stuff wider than 275 in 17" size.
I think someone makes a 285, but even that's limited when you compare it to 18's...
When you step up to 18", you got 285 / 295 / 305 / 315 / 335 easily available.
Hell, I've seen a 355 in 19"!
I personally prefer the look of 17" on an FC.
Anything larger looks too gansta...
But, with our 20B project hoping to break 500hp easily, we're gonna have to step up to 18" it looks like.
I've been crossing my fingers trying to find a good offset set of wheels for the FC, but nothing really hit the magical 10.0", +0 and 12.0", +0 specs yet.
I've seen a few sets that have good front specs, but the rears are just too shallow an offset.
It's bad enough having to run wheel specs like this, as this loads the wheel bearings funny - read: premature wheel bearing failure.
So I find it funny all the drift dicks like to brag about their gansta negative offset wheels, when they are just ******* up their wheel bearings and screwing up their suspension dynamics - go figure.

So it looks like we gotta order a custom set to pull this off - *sigh* - even more money...
$1,000 each Work Meisters!
YEOW!

Sorry about the rambling!

I'll let you know when my wheel bearings go out from being overloaded with my low offset wheels.

look on Zilvia, wheels with those specs come up all the time for sale... I think there's a set of equips in similar sizes right now.

Thanx for the link...

I went in there and looked at all 6 pages of wheels for sale.
One set of Work Equips, but they were priced more than what RB Motoring is asking for their set.
Another Work Equip set that was from a shady seller.
Last set of Beraglio's that had gold plated centers...gold...um, no.

Ideally, I would want a set of Work Meisters or Panasports in white or silver.
I'd rather have the stepped rim shell for strength.
I would buy the set from reboot, but his is black centers.
I'm not a fan of black centers, since the design fades into the shadows.
