Pirelli 'Asimmetrico' should be OK..

I have Pirelli P6000s, listed as a 'high performance' tire on Pirelli's website, on the stock wheels on my 240SX, and they have been consistent.. Tire wear has not been too great; with .1mm toe-in on the rear, after only 2500miles I was rotating. The front, 0mm toe, still has very deep tread. I'll have to try things without the toe-in..
I would not get them again because I'd hope there to be something better out there.. S0-3s, perhaps

The P6000s and I think P7000s ('ultra high performance' on Pirelli's site) are some of the lightest tires reasonable money can buy, apparently.

The only comparison between the Asimmetricos and P6000s I can draw is from having participated in an organized spirited drive, where I ended up behind a '02 Carrera 4S for several miles. At the end of the run, the driver commented that I was "pretty fast".. Knowing what state my car was in that day (no alignment after having installed coilovers, adjustable everything, swaybars, bushings..), being pushed by a 14 year old 140hp powerplant and on these 'high performance' 205/50-15 tires on 15x6 wheels, I was surprised to hear that..

Humph...I haven't really heard much bad about the new Kuhmo's (Ecsta Supra's and MX's). The ratings show that they are pretty much the ultimate in dry grip (the MX's anyway), the Supra's are a great bargain (which is why I'm sure they're getting pretty popular), I'm still a Pirelli man, but I've been thinking of getting some of the Kuhmo's lately just to put on the stock wheels for the FC (GXL). It's either that or the Yoko AVS tires (clearance $43 VR rated tires with great dry grip blah blah blah).

I used to have toyo t1s proxys. best tire ever except for in the rain.

Now I have kumhos. Really good in the rain and no real complaints driving or racing. They grip okay and I think they are worth the money and not dangerous at all. I've hit over 155mph on the highway and I got a 13.5 at the track with stock boost and stock main cat with 2.2 60 foot time which was probably my fault.

These came with the car, I'm def. going to get so3s next time but like I said I can't complain especially about how long they last.

I have 10,000 miles on them right now with 50% tread left all around since I rotate them and they have been autocrossed, drag striped, spirited driving on street a lot of the time.
