Completely normal; the yellows do that. You only hear the rears because the rear shock towers are inside the cabin.

I just installed Koni Yellows and saw that the rubber piece was sitting above the strut mount. I'll check and make sure that everything is tight

I realized the clunky topping sound coming from the rear is only there when I am slowly rolling in first or second gear and gently press on and off gas. When I am at higher speed making fast turns or things like that they don't make any noise. Umm

The rubber washer people are discussing is mostly a safety item. The shock mounting hats are large rubber pieces with studs in them that bolt from the underside of the shock tower. If the hat were to massively fail somehow there would be nothing to prevent the spring from pulling the shock out of the bottom of the tower and the suspension collapsing.....except for that big rubber covered steel washer that is bolted onto the end of the shock shaft above the tower.
There is a rubber piece on the shock perches? in the package of the Koni yellows there is a piece of thin aluminum spring seat that sits on the perches. no rubber pieces for the koni. Am I missing something?
