KAAZ vs. stock vs. RE Amemiya Diffs for Roadrace
#26
I used to have a kaaz on my del sol vtec before someone bought it off me and it was 2 way. All I can say is amazing. Now I cant bash the others becasue Ive never used any other than stok units and kaaz 2 ways but it was definately better. One thing I did have a problm with was that in traffic and daily driving it got to be annoying. It would make clicking noises now and then and the road felt harsher and like someone said when you drop the throttle it made the car jerk a bit. Id say if you were tracking it a lot though its the way to go. And kaaz has had very good reliability and strength from what Ive heard.
My 2 cents!
When I get the rx7 finally I will go with kaaz 2 way again. I just loved what it did for the del sol

The guys from Guru are going to a plate LSD rather than the Torsen for the FD.
Torsens are much better for the Gen 1, but in all the performance evaluations for the Gen 3 taht they have done in both drag and circuit iplementations they are apparently finding the adj plate LSD heaps better.
And you are correct, al l the GURU products are not 'modified' standard stuff they are produced from highest quality billet steel not cast etc like almost evry other tranny and diff manufacturer!
Node, not sure if you caught up with Rohan Ambrose from Guru when Judge Ito went to one of his presenations? But as the guy from texas says the stuff is almost to good to put inside a housing! You will start to see there stuff at some pretty high performance shops inthe US real soon! As soon as they are happy they are working with the right people etc.
