That pic does look sweet ... the lip on those things is just killer.

Just e-mailed Vince to get those 18" wheel weights for you.

Since our wheels are completely custom, there are many factors that determine the weight. [Big Brake Kits, backspace, etc.] I have enclosed this picture for people who are concerned about the way to use as a reference.

20*10 weigh 24.75 lbs.

7racer,
Our wheels have a lifetime structural warranty against factory defects. Now if you bend a rim because you hit a pothole at 120mph, that won't be covered, but we can alwasy replace the lips, instead of having you buy a whole new wheel. Right now our delivery times are as follows

Polish 4-5 weeks
Brushed 6 weeks
Painted 6 weeks

I totally understand that backspacing, pad height and all that will affect the weight slightly... but i was looking for ballpark weights for 18" wheels.

Your site has many sizes listed for 19-20+ whjeels, but very few people will uise those sizes on these cars... 18 is considered outer limit performance wise.

Nice pics!!!

the photoshop of the RX-8 is awesome...you could hide a small animal on that lip!

can you get some pics of a brushed aluminum vs. polished rims?

also...if you could photoshop the flux, sprint, seneka and swift on a 99 rx-7.....I think that would make me bite

Please don't take this the wrong way, but theres a big difference between "around 18 "lbs, and "around 21 lbs", when it comes to wheels.

Roughly the difference between an 18" Volk or SSR comp wheel @ $550-600/per, and a $300/per Enkie RPo1 or SSR GTI...

No offense intended, I appreciate the effort made to address specific questions on this thread, just looking for the actual weight of an 18x10 +50.

Whats the difference betweeen the "Forged" and "Racing" series wheels? Are the racing not forged? There are no sizes listed for the racing series. when does the "Lightweight" series come out? Why do they not list weights for any of the 18" sizes? The deal does sound good, but for 2k, i'd like to have more info from the company
The Forged wheels are probably heavier duty and therefore heavier, whereas the race wheels are just strong enough to hold up to racing conditions, which DOESN'T involve massive potholes like on the street.

That thread is from almost 2 years ago. That is why we have implemented a fitment form, so that when a customers orders he signs and agrees to the offset they want. It was two customers who had problems with wrong offsets they choose, and it ended up going into a flaming war.

Sorry i can't get you the actual weight on a 18*10 with a +50 since all we make is custom wheels, and every wheel we make is different.

Those wheels arent my flavor. Too corvetteish and Euroish for me. Dont most race cars use 1 piece forged wheels for a more solid design. Rays Engineering just came out with a VR Fine Forged wheel line if you guys are interested in good multi piece forged wheel.

http://www.iforged.com/main.html I can't decide between the mesh Swifts or the 10-spoke Insites. Someone Photoshop these on a red FD puhleeze...

Let's talk turkey...

How much $$$ are we talking for a set of FIVE Swifts or Insites in 9.5 x 17, 50 mm offsets, clearcoat with centercaps? How long a wait time? Where do I place an order when the time comes?

Can you ship them with 255/40-17 Pirelli P-Zero Asimmetricos (N2 Porsche OE tires) mounted?

Out of curiosity (Vince), is there a thread somewhere recently that reflects a successful group buy without the drama of the VW thread?

Also, are the centers for the three piece wheels the same size? Is there say a 17" center that's used with the 18" and 19" or do they all have their own specific centers? The teal M3 looks like some of the diameter is made up with the rim itself and not the center. Looks good however, just curious.

Thirdly, out of all the three piece forged rim models, which center section is generally the lightest? I know some of it depends on backspace, but in general are say the seneka centers lighter than the flux?

Thanks for your time.

Of you can just buy these!

You'll need 2.5-inch coil springs though...
