Haha... always trying to copy me, eh Tony? Funny thing is, he has been selling alot of coilover sets lately, and is actually the person I had bought my set from. As far as driving impressions, I have none yet, but I can tell that they are stupid stiff. I believe the springrates are the standard 8/6. I know they are alot stiffer than any previous spring/strut combo I have personally had experience with on my FCs, which were a Tokico Spring/strut combo, a KYB adj. strut/RB spring, and a eibach springs. These JICs are much , much stiffer than any of them.

...haha...was I making myself that obvious? Yeah, they are abit stiffer than I'd like but still - It'll complete my suspension. Hmm, are these the only model JIC's?
Let me know your Impressions everyone!

are those japanese spec? i just got a set of USDM FLT A2's for my FC, My spring rates are 7 in front and 5 in the back and the springs are purple instead of black and they are double hight adjustable. are the front shocks adjustable from the bottom? It seems that there are protective caps for the fronts? hold on. im typing as im finding out because im lazy, the jic website has 2 models that are similar to those in the picture. THe SF-1 and the SA-1. I beleive that they are the SF-1's which are 7kg in front and 5 in the back, since they dont have an FC application for the sa-1's. since the spring rates are the same as mine, im going to chime in, my setup is extremely stiff, its tolerable on the softest setting but still extremly stiff. They were well worth it thought. the car turns on a dime, no noticeablilty on delayed response, im sure those are dampened somewhat softer than mine since they seem to be JIC entry-level setup and are inudjustable and if im correct, are made for street applications. id say buy them, if your arent pleased with them, you can sell them and make a little money on them if you can really get them that cheap. then upgrade to a better end setup. its a win win situation, i say buy them, :edit: jic makes several setups, http://jic-magic.com/productsjic_susp.htm

Im using the FLTA2's as well with spring rates set at 8kg/6kg. The ride is fairly stiff on the streets but I've found it perfect for the track.
In my opinion, the rear spring rate is a bit too soft under high load situations, I'd like to move up to something around a 8kgR. Otherwise I have no complaints about them.
Heres something i've previously posted as well:
In Option 9 of this year, pg.149, the FLTA2s are ranked as one of the best coilover applications specifically for the FC3S.
Revspeed April 2002- JIC is given a 5 star ranking in an analaysis between GAB, Bilstein, Aragosta, Zeal and Apex. The next closest was GAB with 4 stars."
I don't think you're getting what you pay for when you pay +$2,000 for a single adjustable coilover. If I were to sell my JIC's for something else in the future, It'd be closer to something like JRZs, Moton, Aragosta or Penskes for their range of double and triple adjustable setups.

I bought them and they are on the way. Whoa! After the polyurethene Bushings Install my suspension Is complete.
The spring rates are 8kg for the fronts and 6kg for the rear. According to the site, these are matched to the FLT-A2's which are ones with the purple springs, mine are black. Am I missing something?
When I try to do a "colour match" I'm not seeing a correlation to the spring rates. These were shipped from Japan originially.

What Is the difference b'n the two generations? What way should the front camber plates face? I'm breaking the noobie point now. Yeah, the death threats are piling up In my mail box. Thanks for the replies so far.

I dont know that those are 1st gen FLTs as opposed to the SA's or SF's because I dont see your damping ***** on the bottom of the front shocks?
Well regardless of that, you can double check spring rates once you receive them, they're usually stamped into the bottom of the spring.

8/6 is good. Ive been researching other c/o's and have yet to get impressions on JICs. FTR, I am looking at Proflex, DMS and LEDAs.
Id be interested in what you have to say re: the JICs once you have them on.
