I need lightweight 17x8 wheels for FD.

It's for a track car so they have to be lightweight.
enkei rpf are 238@ tirerack. weight 15.6#
try to look for kosei but they are not listed.
any ideas?

I've been running FD 16''oem wheels. but I have to use 225-50-16
if I go up to 17'' I can run 225-45-17.
both tires have the same diameter & weight.
I think I'll get less tire LAG.
I think this will help a bit with the understeer I been getting.
we have to run Kumho ecsta MX. 220 threadwear.

any ideas?

i think the rpf1s are a great wheel for the track in terms of performance and value. and the SBC color adds some blingfactor

Run 245/45-16. Same rolling diameter as stock size and more rubber on the road.

Tire Rack has lots of competition radials in that size:

Michelin Pilot Sport Cup
Kumho Victoracer V700
Kumho Ecsta V710
Hoosier A6
Hoosier R6
BFG G-force R1

Hm, maybe i didn't read his initial post closely enough.

Stay with stock wheels, you'll gain nothing in terms of weight and gearing by moving up.
