How can I find out what offset my rims are?
#2
1. Carefully measure the width of the wheel from outer rim edge to outer rim edge. This will be about 1" larger than the bead width -- an 8" wide wheel will be about 9" wide.
2. Measure the backspacing. This is the distance between the plane defined by the back of the wheel pad (the part that mates with the hub) and the plane defined by the outer rim edge that is on the inside of the wheel well.
3. Calculate the offset based on your measurements: offset = backspacing - (width / 2)
4. Find a list of all the offsets that your wheels were available with, and choose the one that most closely matches your calculation.
