Has anyone ran a Ground Control coilover set up on Ohlins shocks?
I'm looking to add a little more adjustability to my Japanese Ohlins shocks, and I was wondering if anyone has used a Ground Control coilover kit on theirs.
I talked to Don of GC and he said that the Bilstein type coilover kit would work. I don't doubt him, but I want to make sure before I go ahead with the purchase.
Thanks.

That's what I heard as well. But the thing you need to know about ground control is that they'll tell you one thing one day, and tell you something completely different the next. I wanted to use bilstein shocks in their coilover kit, and when I visited them, they said it would be no problem. Fast forward a few weeks, and they said that they can't make a fitment for the FC chassis. My situation was that I had two front Ohlins coilovers, and I needed some sort of rears to match. I asked them if they could possibly make something for Ohlins or Bilstein and the answer that I got was "Yes" one day and "No" the next.
You should try directly talking to Ohlins USA, they might be of some help. Ground control is fine, but their ambiguity makes it difficult to figure out a rock solid setup.
edit: Talk to Mike, their shock guy. He is by far the most helpful out of the bunch and actually has experience with Ohlins and other high end shocks. One time he was on the phone with me for 45 minutes discussing possible setups before I brought the shocks in.
However, in the case of fabricating some sort of coilover deal for your ohlins, I would look to some more specialized shops to do the work. It will be more expensive, but it will probably be worth it. TC Design in Milpitas, CA does Motons, but I believe that they have experience with Ohlins. You want to look for race shops, not parts shops.
