Good source for BBS rims?
I'm tired of snaking my way through EBay and Tirerack (which doesn't offer a very good BBS selection). I just want to find a distributor of BBS rims that offers pictures and prices on their website. I've even searched the Porsche specific parts-houses and I've had little luck. Does anyone know where I can find these rims at? So many cars have them as OE, but trying to find some outside of that is like looking for a dodo bird.
Anyone have any tips or should I just buy a plane ticket to Germany and pick them up there myself. Ich spreche Deutsche kaum, aber Ich denke es ist gut genug fur eine Felge erwerben!

I believe (not sure) that the BBS wheels made for the Japanese market are made there in Japan, rather than Germany, and tend to be lighter with more options as far as color is concerned. For instance, I have not seen the BBS RG-Rs in gunmetal on the European websites.

What is the max size( width wise) that it offers in the 17.

I'm looking primarily for rims in 17x8 for the rear and 17x7 or 17x7.5 for the front.
I'm particularly interested in the
BBS RS-GT
BBS RR
BBS Super-RS
and BBS RX
Prices would be wonderful, but I won't be ready to buy until 12/15 or so. Please let me know what you can dig up ASAP.

We have access to the RG-R's. Unfortunately I'm not finding good sizing as yet. So far the widest in the right offset is 17,8.0. They make 18,8.5 but it's a very high offset for the S2000. I'll make the call to BBS and say WTF. hehe.

The BBS Japan site lists the available sizes:
BBS RG-R
The cheapest they seem to be offered for in Japan, in 17s for the FD, is in the $450-$500 price range. Add shipping and duty to that, and a set would probably be pretty pricey. They are forged wheels, as opposed to the BBS wheels sold here in the states, most of which I believe are cast. Here is a pic of them on an FD:
Does anyone know if these are the Spirit-R wheels?
I have looked over pictures of both and cannot tell ANY difference.

Dude, that's so messed up. I'm gonna call up BBS and ask them why they're holding back. Aristo fitment would be insane and slightly oversized in tire diameter. But damn it would be one hell of a showpiece.
Unless these are for an Aristo. hehe.

give conversion techniques a call, they are authorized BBS distributers. Their website is www.aerotechnik.com

Yeah so are we victor. I don't see them on here attempting to help neither the members nor the forum. Do you want me to post other distributors for Tein everytime you say go to OSdesigns. I have been kind enough not to try and step on toes.
Remember that you had always been the one to get into my business. I never even desired getting into yours. I can pull up all the posts where you've been a splinter in my *** if you need verification that it was never me starting things.

Automotive research and development don't make me laugh, what do you guys actually "reserach and develop?"

Well Victor, I as a previous client of Ivan's have a right to inform people of the damage he'd done to my car as well as the poor evaluation of my motor, resulting in him wasting both our time. If you really want to push it I will put together a full editorial with pics and witnesses of what happened and what we discovered after dismantling the motor.
With regards to you "acting" like you're not a salesperson. That's bullshit. All I ever read is Tein and OSdesigns. Do you ever refer Tein people to other places. I guess I'll need to do that from now on. Have a little more etiquette and respect for those on the forum who are spending the time to get the information needed.
And you are intruding. You have not offered any helpful information here other than, go here. When we are already here. And the gentlemen here know that they receive a club discount by using us as well as get the information they need.
I could just not post here and have all my "groupies" sit on the board and say, "Contact ARD T2". He'll take care of you. But I don't believe that to be fair. So I spend the time, make the calls, and if people are appreciative of the information we compensate both the client and the forum.
The only thing I'd have bite you are any of my five dogs. I'd be happy to oblige you on that. Just come by the shop. Setup an appointment and I'll be sure to bring down which ever one you think you can handle.
With regards to R & D we have product lines currently in development. Items we're not privy to discuss. I guess this just further demonstrates your ignorance and prejudice. Just educate yourself before you open your mouth Vic. You're jumping to conclusions and obviously don't feel that neither you nor others you "advocate" make mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes. Even us.
Since you know so much about wheels Victor, why don't you give us some info on these wheels or at least something other than, "go here". Apparently you feel that I'm not "racer" enough to be able to recommend wheels and fitments to "real racers".
If you want to challenge my knowledge of wheels I'd be happy to challenge your knowledge as well. May the best man win. hehe. Be careful cause you'll be droppin' your pants as quickly as you dropped that bolt. LOL!!!! You did drop a bolt somewhere resulting in the loss of a motor, right? Oh but you're so professional and a real "racer" that a mistake like that could never happen to you.

I contacted BBS and spoke to a sales rep about the wheel fitments available in Japan. I was informed that they can be brought over here. If wanted immediately then there will be about a $500.00 additional freight charge. However, if you can be patient we can have them add it to a stocking order. The next one is due to arrive in February. The January container is already on the water.
Let me know of what fitments you would like and I'll get further ETA's on them. I'd suggest following the Japan fitment guide kindly provided by Aristo above.
Thanks, Rishie
