are GAB Super R's rebuildable?

I don't know any place that can rebuild the GAB superR shocks, but I haven't really looked, either. In my years of avid list and forum readership, I have never heard of anyone getting them rebuilt, however. It might be more cost effective just to replace them. GAB doesn't make them anymore, except in big pre-purchased blocks from what I understand. I'll probably try some "real" coil-overs when mine wear out, or perhaps before if I decide to make a switch for other reasons.
I think M2 stopped selling the AD setup, but you can probably still get them from Advance Design (Ground Control). http://www.advance-design.com/
There seem to be a number of good options for shocks at this point. JIC, TEIN, Konis (from Tri-Point or Tru-Choice, etc.), Penskes, etc. are all available. M2 is selling a new coil over kit, too.

well , I am in the middle of trying to decide upon coilovers or a strut/spring setup. And then, after that decision, i wil have to decide which brand and model. Right now i am considering the GAB Super R's with THe M2 coilover conversion kit. But at that price, i should also consider coilovers. But, I dont know to much about the different coilovers available. I plan on doing alot of auto-x with them. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
