Finally! Pics of my SSR Integral A2's
These photos go out to Rishie who got me the smokin deal on this wheel/tire setup, and Manny who continues to encourage me to hit the track w/him even though we didn't get to meet @ Putnam ...
Finally had a nice sunny day here in Ohio, washed her up and took some pics!

Kyle,
Yeah, your silver car with the silver wheels look outstanding! I really do like the SSR Integral A2s...simple, clean, and classic look. They'll never go out of style. The SSR's lightweight are also a plus! The 255/35-18 Toyos are a perfect fit for the wheel and for the tire and wheel wells!
I'm pleased that you're happy with your setup!
Hope to see you at the track some day this season...

rynberg...I have the 9 x 17s (45-mm) with 255/40-17 Yokohama AVS Intermediates. Excellent setup for the road, autocross, and drivers education track events...10 inches wide of contact patch all the way around, and no rubbing issues with H&R springs. The car looks more aggressive with wider tires, but hot over-the-top looking with 285/30-18s all the way around...
FWIW, I'll need to order up a 5th, 9 x 17 SSR A2 wheel/Yoko AVS I' tire combo. My '99 FD Rx7 Type RS brakes won't work with my current mini spare wheel/tire (brakes need 17-in wheels for caliper clearance). Mazdaspeed Motorsports Development will charge over $300 for an original Type RS 17-inch mini spare, and they can't get the mini spare tire. I might as well haul around a full-sized spare
You will love your 9 x 17-inch SSRs with 255/40-17s...guaranteed! Post pics!
FYI, The 9 x 17, 45-mm SSR Integral A2s are being discontinued, so once Tire Rack's inventory is depleted, that's it!

Very nice FD. How do you like the Tein coilovers?
Very nice FD. How do you like the Tein coilovers?
1) Took 6 weeks from the time I ordered them to receive them.
2) Original mounting hardware needed to be machined to fit over the Koni's.
3) Truechoice sent two sets of springs which were the wrong side (too long/tall, every seen an off-road RX7 with 4 plus inches of wheel gap in the front? Looks damn funny!)
4) After finally receiving the correct size Eibach springs, as soon as the car was lowered off the lift, the seal on one of the front shocks blew and spewed shock oil all over my engine bay.
#4 did it, I gave up on the TrueChoice kit and will be returning it, demanding $ back.
In my fustration, I did a quick search and saw the TEIN Coilovers being highly praised and noted they were one of the top shocks in Japan, called TEIN, they overnighted me a set, installation was a breeze.
TEIN's -- 24 clicks of adjustability, 2" of drop ability, and they ride like a dream!

17x9s all the way around....?
Buying the integrals for my 7 and tire rack said I can only put 235mm 17x8s in the front...is this accurate (the width part I mean)? if not, what modification do I need to make?
Thanks
Thanks

Nah, 9 x 17, 45-mm offset with 255/40-17 Yokohama AVS I's are a proven aggressive fitment. Tire Rack won't guarantee this fitment because the clearance tolerances are much tighter with the more aggressive fitment. BTW, the 235/45-17 is actually taller than a 255/40-17, so you might still get rubbing from a too-tall tire!

Wow that is the 2nd silver FD I have seen with Integrals.
Just stunning.
The 1st car, Shawn Fanning (napster) was just amazing. That looks so nice.
you should come to the Cleveland RX-7 meet next weekend. Let me know and I can give you some more info on it.

BTW, those will fit with 245/40s with the completely stock suspension, correct?

Either 245 or 255 will fit. Don't know when they'll run out, as more people buy the less they have...I'd check the Rack's inventory, because it will run low as we swing into the Spring driving season, and people start getting serious with prepping their cars...
