Which Fikse's for me?

Any thoughts on which Fikse rims I should use for my Barney Mobile FC? I was thinking FM/5's, but I like the Mach V's and FM/10's also. Anybody have pics of an FC with FM/5's?

I personally like the FM10 the most. I love that style mesh. The FM5 is just too plain for me. But I need to get prices on the FM10, hope it is the same.

Did you decide to use standard available offsets?
I should find out on Monday what is up with that.

Good luck, Rishie

Fikse

I have Fikse FM10 on my TurboII. I looked at the FM5 and did not think it looked as good. Let me know how I can post a large pic on the forum and I will shoot some pics of the car with the wheels. Everytime I try to upload a pic of the car online it ask me to make it smaller then 20K not very big.

Later,
Dave

This forum has a limit of 100K, and no size limit for attachments. You shouldn't have any problem uploading your pics.

I am trying to post some pics for you but it tells me again to make them smaller. They are no bigger then 64kb. I'm just trying to give you an idea of how it looks. Hope its not to much trouble.

How are you doing it? As an attachment?

E-mail the pics to me at turbo@nothnbut.net and I'll post them.

size

I am not sure what the offset is I'll post it later after I call them but the size is 17x8 on the front and 17x8.5 on the back. The tire size is 225 40ZR17 on the front and 255 40ZR 17 on the back. I could have squeezed more in but I like it just the way it sits.

Your car looks great. Very nice and clean, conservative appeal. That's what I like. Quality stuff. I like the RB exhaust, blends so well with the body lines.

What kind of suspension are you running?

Thanks, Rishie

suspension

It's pretty simple right now. I have Tockico Illuminas all the way around with Tockico progressive springs. I would like to get the chassis bars that tie the strut towers together front and back and the bar that runs underneath the car. Thanks for the compliments they always keep me going. This obsession of ours is difficult to maintain without a boost.

I ordered the FM/10's today from Rishie. I got the ones with the SpeedSilver painted finish on the spokes, and the Technopolish lip. Should be schweet! Got 17x9.5 rear and 17x8.5 front.

You can count on tons of pics as soon as I get 'em. I also ordered some slightly used Hoosier road race tires from www.racetire.com

congrats

Let me know how they fit. My guy told me that 17x9 would be the biggest I can go with in the back but I would probably have to roll the fenders. I didn't want to do it. I wonder if offset plays a part in how wide you can go. What was your cost by the way?

I didn't know Rishie could get Fiske....this changes completely what I would have ordered.

I'd sell my nuts for a set of FM5s at a decent price.

How much for the Fikses? Can you get kinesis too? I thought the Fikses go for around $800 each.

Yes, I can get you guys both Fikse and Kinesis if interested. I am still able to give you guys a discount with these lines as well. If looking at a 17, the Fikse's are much cheaper, but if looking into the 18's it could be a toss up either way.

Thanks and let me know,

Rishie

Hey can you get me the widest sizes available for the Fikse FM10s priced and spec'd. And the Volk SE37s in the black finish. Trying to compare, since I know I can get more width out of the Fikse's. Can a 10.5 fit without rolling (think custom made = custom offset), and an 11 with minor rolling. 17s only please, no need to shell out an arm and a leg (not that Fikse's are cheap or anything as is, but that's what made to order is about). Thanks Rishie, big help to the forum, and everyone. I appreciate it.

Spyder420
01 MR2 Spyder 15k miles (actually 14.5 right now) black with black & red katzkin dealer-installed leather, floor mats (black with red stiching) FOR SALE 25K OBO, have to get 24.5k or no deal (not my rules). If it seems high then it may be for your area, but in some areas they still go 24.8k for a 2000 with 20k on the odo. No leather no extended warranty. So a fully loaded 2001 (including custom leather which is under warranty since the dealer did it for me, not the terrible factory leather) with the extended 6yr/100k bumper to bumper warranty. the leather was over a grand, and the warranty was too. Nice car, perfect for a weekend car (too bad most of you already have them), can be used as a daily driver. Mods are becoming more available and turbo kits exist. Viper speed for 30k if you want to slap a turbo on it. 25K OBO, have pics, email kclausen@vt.edu

Found a warranty for the FD I want. someone buy my MR2 Spyder.

PHINSN98.....

I know that car. I am in NY at the moment. Did you work at TAG? I used to work there and had a red 3rd gen. I am in nyc at the moment but just wondering if that was the same car that I used to *sweat*. I would always pass by that car in the parking lot and admire the wheels. Just curious if that was you. I also sold the red 93 and bought my current silver one.

Yeah that's me. What's going on up there. Hope all is well in NY. What are you doing with yourself up there. I was thinking of looking into the industry up there. Well see.

Great video of Flaco running his 3rd gen. It looks like something went wrong. He pulled a huge hole shot.
