that link provides nothing but thank you for your efforts.
i found this info
i think my coilovers are the GAB with the super R shocks since they are both damping and height adjustable. they arent listed for fd on gab's site but i guess it seems that they were the hot thing to have back in the early days
i found this info

GAB website:
http://www.gab.jp/
Made in Japan By: Wings
Retail New in Japan for 184,800 YEN ( Currently $2200.00 USD)
Part# GKRS301
4 stage adjustable dampening
Adjustable ride height
Additional helper spring to help rebound stroke
Saw somewhere that spring rate is 16K F 14K R ( not sure if this is true)
100% serviceable thru GAB:
PDF spreadsheet with diagrams:

Another website with spec and info:

These are little dirty but are in great condition. Take them apart if you like and give them a nice clean-up if the dirt bothers you..

Sorry that I didn't test the link in the referenced post..
Yes, the GAB super R's (red coil overs) were highly regarded and expensive...
They were sold by M2 and by Mazda Motorsports (now Mazdaspeed).

I don't know any place that can rebuild the GAB superR shocks, but I haven't really looked, either. In my years of avid list and forum readership, I have never heard of anyone getting them rebuilt, however. It might be more cost effective just to replace them. GAB doesn't make them anymore, except in big pre-purchased blocks from what I understand. I'll probably try some "real" coil-overs when mine wear out, or perhaps before if I decide to make a switch for other reasons.
There seem to be a number of good options for shocks at this point. JIC, TEIN, Konis (from Tri-Point or Tru-Choice, etc.), Penskes, etc. are all available.
