FD rim fitment question
im looking at some 18x8 front 18x9 rear tork matrix rims.. 265/35 rear and 245/35 front... they offer 40mm offset only, how will this fit on my 95 fd? i have hks hipermax coilovers and getting my fenders rolled. NEXT QUESTION: will this make my fd look like its lifted? i want to keep that sleek down low look, will it be better to go with a 17 inch rim? what type of offset can you run with some 265 or 275 rears on 17x9s? and offset 245 17x8s in the front? thank you in advance!!!!

If you have coilovers, it's not a problem. For a 245 size tire on an 18" wheel, 35 series is the proper size. Anything different will throw off the speed calculations. You can do the math using this website:
http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...foTireMath.jsp
Going with a 17" wheel has some benefits. You will have better ride quality, as you'll have more tire sidewall to deal with rough roads. The more sidewall you have, the more the tire absorbs the road and less is transmitted to the chassis. However, some people do what they can to use the smallest sidewall they can in which going from 18" down to 17" increases the amount of sidewall since the object is to keep the same overall tire/wheel diameter. Basically, the stock wheel is about 25" in diameter tire + wheel. The object is to increase the wheel diameter but keep the same 25" diameter, so your tire sidewall decreases to keep the same size.
Also, 18" tires are more expensive than 17". It really just depends on you and what you like.
I would recommend anything from +37 to +47. However, offset choice is personal preference. Some people like the gangster look with the wheels sticking out past the fenders. Some people don't.
