FC3S - Good all around drifting/dragging tires?
#26
honestly, your 17 and you probably go through money like no other (hanging out with friends...partying....eating out). Yeah...believe me, my older brother worked the same job as me in highschool and he NEVER had any money because he'd easily spend $100 a week "hanging out". But me, im still 17 and i refuse to waste money like him. So, what do i have to show for it? Zeal coilovers, nice bbs wheels, pfc, datalogit, 1k+ fuel system, bnr stage 3...on and on while still having a heafty saving account/stocks. But the real advice, like Munchies said, get your suspension straight first. I started with a nearly stock S5 TII when i was 16 and the first thing i did for it was bebuild/redo all the brake/hub stuff, put a 2k+ zeal coilover set on, bought some used bbs wheels from japan, and got good tires. No im not saying you need that expensive of a coilover set, but i wouldnt settle for anything lower than...say $1000? Get it right the first time. My brother has the tein flex set on his fd and they are good. You can set them up for whatever you want....soft street driving/dragging or hard for your drifting. As for wheels, please dont waste your money on cheap ****. You can buy yourself some GOOD used wheels for $500-1000 (try rbmotoring or pandagarage). For tires...my personal favorite is Falken Rt-615. Awesome tires and amazingly cheap. Hope i helped
