dunlop sp8000 vs bridgestone re70
#6
I have the 8000s and there the best performance tire I've ever owned. Plus there not intrusive when I am trying to talk to a lady friend 3feet next to me. But I have to admit I've never owned a Bridgestone.

Do you mean RE71.If so I have a set right now and I can say they grip GOOD.Unfortunately they don't last very long.I had a set of the SP8000s before and they grip good as well, but not as good as the RE71s.It looks like the Dunlops lasted longer than these RE71s are going to.

I noticed you have 285 in the rear. I have posted several times about that width of a tire.
Recently I bought a used set of SSR Agle rims at 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 there are currently 265/35/18 on the rear and I wanted to fit 285's and was wondering how well it fits. Or do you suggest doing 275 since it pretty much works with everyone else.?
lemme know. e-mail me twinturboteddy@netscape.net

Get the new Pirelli Rosso. All german racing mags say it is the best street tire, better than Bridgestones, Dunlop, Goodrich, Toyo, etc. All the new high speed german cars like the new Porsche 911 turbo, M3, M5 and most tuned Porsches (gemballa, etc) got this tire.

I only hear Germans or Euro's praising Pirellis the most, I think they suck, I have a set on now front and rear, I hate them, Bridgestones and Yokohama's 4 me

if u want the best tires i have to agree with the COLIN as i have sold those over all other brands ....BRIDGESTONE S-02 POLE POSITION..... they just handle and stick in the rain!!!!!!!! NOW i don't know where u live but having them on my car and running over 26,000 kms on them they have 7-7.5/32nds remaining considering the tires only came with 10/32nds!!!!!! the car had 79,000kms when i sold it and i have gone though 4 different sets of tires... when the S-02 PP get down to 50% remaining they will still have about 75-85% traction as to new!!!!! the new pirelli's are a lighter tire but so not have a good sidewall....
sorry to be long winded but u just got to know the facts before buying...lots of $$$ to lose.
good luck

OH by the way...... a good test for you is to see the exact tire(S) in person and do a simple test!!!! ........ you must both have same size tires together....this is how u test to see if the tires have good sidewalls ...... sit on top of the tire!!! of course on at a time!! don't plop your weight on it at once but just put weight on it and you will see which tire will fold!!!
