Dunlop Sp 8000

Well I just received those tires from tire rack. Im pretty much on a budget and my FD is primarily a street car. I decided to get them because originally i was looking at the kumho ecsta supra 712 and i was kinda iffy on going with them since they seem to have gotten mixed reviews. Rynberg recommended the sp 8000, i was gonna go with the yokohama intermediates but i couldnt find them in my size. Ill probably be writing a review about the tires, hopefully everything goes well

Man i looked and looked for info on tires and boiled it down to the dunlops or yokos--i went with the yokos cause they were cheaper, available at the local store, and have longer tread wear ratings. i got yoko avs es100 and dont like them. they vibrate at 65-75 and they are louder than the dunlop sp5000s i replaced. cant comment on cornering as there is too much ice. i wish i had the sp8000. keep me posted

Yep, I really like the SP 8000s as a "budget" tire.

Hey man there's nothing budget about those tires, I remember I had to replace both rear tires. They are something to the tune of 210 a piece, but I don't know pricing of any other brands. although their size is: 275/40/17 and the fronts are 235/45/17. I guess that's probably why they were so much.

Regards, Matt

My rear wheels are 10" wide by 17 and the fronts are 9.5" wide by 17, discount tire co. charged me 430 all said and done. They had to special order them, it was a bitch. Makes me think twice about roasting em'.

Happy Holidays, Matt

$430 for a set of 235/45-17 and 275/40-17? Damn that's $107 each...you call that non-budget. I'd say got off dirt-cheap!

I'm looking at new tires in 255/40-17. The AVS Intermediates have been great tires at $104 each back in Feb. Thie Tire Rack lowered the price to $94 each, and now they're sold out! So the search has lead me to the Continental Sport Contact 2s @ $168.

FWIW, the BFG G-Force KDs are $249 each for 255/40-17. The Michelin Pilot Sport Cup Comps are $249 each for 255/40-17. Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Poles are $192 each 255/40-17. Pirelli P-Zeros are $174 each, again for 255/40-17.

no no no........

I mean't to say that just the rear Tires were 430 all said and done. Yeah if that price was for all four that would be a killer deal. sorry about the mix-up.
