Whats a coilover?
It's just short for "coil spring-over shock tube".

The FD stock suspension system IS a coil-over setup. The big differences with aftermarket "coil-over" systems is that the aftermarket products allow flexibility in ride height, shock valving, and afford more wheel/tire clearance within the wheel well, due to the narrower outer diameter springs available with the aftermarket products.

If you're like me (Ronco enthusiast--"set it and forget it"), then you won't be interested in this stuff.

If you like to dik around with sh*t, then you'll love the aftermarket coil-over products!

That's what adjustable coil-overs are for. Adapting the car's suspension system for various road surface conditions as encountered at different road racing venues.

To me these systems are mostly a waste of money IF, IF, you never plan to use them they way were intended to be used for!
