coilover damping
Before anyone yells at me for not searching, i did but couldn't find exactly what i was looking for.
First off, i have the tein flex set up with the EDFC.
I was wondering what a good damping force would be for a drag race? Would i want it softer or harder in the back?? I get wheel hop or just peel out most of the time and am trying to set my suspension to help me out with my launches. Anyones opinion would help a little seeing as how i don't know if it should be harder or softer for the back and for the front. Thanks in advance for your reply's and help

How is your ride height set? Is it raked forward? Damping and weight distribution will both take a part. What kind of tires are you running and do you have your stock differential? Are you doing a full quarter mile?

have you upgraded the bushings in the rear suspension yet? damping is only going to do so much if you don't have good bushings. from what i understand you want the rear soft enough to be able to transition the weight onto the rear tires. how soft is very dependent on the factors rishie listed above among other things.
a few good terms to search for are "wheel hop" and "launch" or "launch technique" in case you haven't tried that yet. search the race tech section as well as the 3rd gen section.

Richie, the car has been lower 3/4 inches on all four corners i believe. I'm just running my street tires because i still have the stock differential and i don't want to break it because i don't have the money to replace it right now. I'd be doing both 1/8 mile ( track right down the street) and 1/4 mile at MIR if i have time to make it up there this summer.
Alberto, what bushings should i replace?? I replaced the sway bars and their bushings and i'm plaining on getting new toe links and the street launch kit that comes with the trailing arms. And thanks for the key words to search for.
