True, True. Then again, I believe that performance is ultimately dependant on the driver and NOT the $$$$ equipment. I've been to auto crosses and I'm positive that some drivers would have cleaned my clock regardless what I had on my vehicle. I mean those Cobras can MOVE..........Not a fair comparison but who complaining.

I agree with you completely but once you get way up to the top of the pyramid ALL the drivers are very good. In that case any performance missing from the car will result in slower laps, regardless of driver ability. There is absolutely no reason however to spend big money on shocks unless the car is raced on a track as the performance difference is small but unarguably there and the only place you could exploit that is 10/10ths at the track.

As for bragging rights I tend to agree with you. All these guys with abjustable shocks and suspensions and all they know is "you do this it gets stiffer, you do that it gets softer". Adjustable shocks aren't going to help unless they are built specifically for your application and you know how to use them. Just because a shock says it fits your car doesn't mean it's really been made for your purposes.
