Center caps on TII wheels
Got new wheels today for my TII...
The wheels fit great.... but the cap for the wheel bearing sticks out through the center of the wheel and the wheel center cap will not seat properly...
like so...
I emailed Tire rack about it to see if i can get different center caps... BUT
If Shuk doesn't make deeper center caps, what are my other options??
Anybody know where to get generic caps????

thats my next adventure.. tonight I'm going to go home and see home much room is behind the dustcaps to the spindle... If there is enough... I'm going to cut it and weld it.. if not, its looking for new caps time.

Spacers.... just to put a center cap on.... no way.. besides... the wheels are CLOSE to the outside of the fender as it is..
Jake from the tire rack is sending me some other brand wheels center caps.. I'll see if they work and switch the emblems around... If NOT... then i'm going to have to do something drastic... like add a spacer to the cap by cutting off the back and JB Welding a 1/4 ring between the cap and the mounting tabs....
If that dont work... I'll have to keep searcing for deeper caps..

front center cap issues
Had the same problem with my new 17' ADR wheels , they couldn't find a deeper center cap so I had a guy machine a thin 3/8" wide spacer about 3/32" thick that the cap fit into, and the spacer inside the mag wheel

If it's just BARELY hitting and keeping the center cap from going on, you can actually hammer the center cap down. Sounds ghetto, but there's TONS of space available behind the center cap. I had to do this with the GAB rims I had on my old 10th. Pop the center cap off (use a screwdriver and hammer) and you can see how far you can push in the center cap.
Once I figured out how far I could go, took like 1 minute with a hammer and I was done.
