big brake kits for a 4 lug

Does anyone know where I can get a big brake kit for a four lug 87? I think it shares a bolt pattern with the 84 and 85 gsl-se, so I'm hoping there is something out there that I have just missed. Everything that I have located requires me to first do a 5 lug conversion which pretty much kills the affordability of the project.

Thanks in advance.

Big brake kit and affordability typically don't go together in the same paragraph. 99% of the real performance upgrade big brake kits are for 5 lug vehicles.

You need to bite the bullet and upgrade to stock T2 5lug brakes, 4 piston front calipers, with vented rotors all the way around (they came from the factory like this). Then add braided s/s brake lines and HAWK HP+ brake pads and you will be ready to roll. You will unfortunately need new rims/tires now as well .

The factory T2/GXL 5 lug brakes vs. the stock 4 lugs blow them out of the water. 4 lug brakes get major brake fade and IMO are downright scary after one aggressive stop from high speed. There is a 5 lug conversion for sale right now for around $200 I believe for everything.

It is worth it and easy to do yourself.

I got a ride in an FC today with 13" AP Racing upgraded front brakes with ABS. All that I can say is WOW! These make the stock T2 FC brakes look downright sad. My back wasn't touching the seatback during braking and the belt saved my butt. This upgrade is around $2700! So the upgrade from 4 to 5 lug is cheap and good enuf for the average street/autoX enthusiast.

I'm not lazy, I'm ignoring my job. I can only get away with this level of lack of responsability for so long.

Thanks for the info.
