Guys, I think the OP is looking for a good tire that'll run well in a straight line. The Azenis and a few other tires mentioned here are really a track tire, and shouldn't be considered due to price and use.

Stiff sidewalls don't give the best traction for drag racing usage. I've never used them (so I don't have any specific recommendations), but maybe some drag radials would meet your needs best. They tend to be sticky with soft(er) sidewalls.

Everyone keeps saying the Advan Neova tires, but maybe they didn't read that he's running low on money. i have them on my fd and i paid over a 1000 bucks...i also have the BFG KD/W2s on another car and they are substantially cheaper and as NATEY said the best tire in the rain hands down

The OP just needs to go to www.thetirerack.com and www.discounttire.com and do a bit of research.

Kuhmo mx are also a great choice and no worries if you get caught in the rain. The mx has a pretty soft sidewall, my car hooked very well with them and 420rwhp/380tq. I have friends who run the rt615 and kd's, the general consensus seems to be they are both just so-so in the wet.
