axle boot keeps twisting up
#3
i have a 87 turbo II the car had been running and performing good then today when i took a turn hard i heard a pop and i though i broke the driveshaft so i came to stop because the car wouldnt move then jacked the car up and saw the axle boot on teh drivers side is all twisted up so unclamped it and untwisted it so i thought it was fixed then went to drive again and right as i drove off it twisted all up again so i called the wife and got her to bring the trailor and i towed it home so i dont know what is causing this

My guess is that the shaft is worn, or there is something very wrong with the suspension letting it separate, and that the joint is slipping. If so, you probably need a new shaft. Or you need to figure out what else is allowing the shaft to pull apart (worn/broken suspension parts). A junk yard might be a good source if they prove to be expensive from the auto parts store or dealer.
That is a complete guess, however, as I have not experienced anything like that personally.
