Unhappy Apexi N1 Adjustment Questions

I just chucked on some these coilovers yesterday afternoon on my FD. To begin with I was running stock R1 shocks before changing to Ohlin shocks and now the Apexi's.

As I don't take my car on track or anything I really didn't feel much difference.

My ride height is pretty high and it looks abit like a 4WD and I adjusted the dampers at the top to about 14 clicks. I took her for a drive and it was very bouncy especially going over a speed bump. Even going very slowly it would bounce as the wheel hit the ground again. Just a few quick questions:

1) How does lowering the height affect the way the car drives? Trade offs?

2) What does that damper **** at the top do or affect? E.g easier to turn?

3) For some reason the ring thing that holds the abs line is like loose and I can't clip the line into it without the ring sliding down. My other shocks had it welded so at the moment I have cable ties holding it to the upper arm. Am I missing a part?

Sorry for the noob questions but the suspension side of the FD is alot to digest.

1) Lowering the car will lower the center of gravity making the car handle better (and also look better) but you can run into bottoming out issues and maybe even tire rub if you drop it to far.

2) The **** on the top adjusts the valving (I'm pretty sure) which makes the car stiffer or softer depending on what your looking for. A middle ground would probably be better then the highest or lowest setting but this depends on your set-up.

3) My coilovers don't even have the bracket for the brake line so I zip tied it to the shock body.

So far I've notice the car extremely bouncy and very rough over bumps etc. I guess this has something to do with the spring rates and not to do with adjusting the dampening at the top?

Try setting the dampers at 6 or 7 and see if that helps.
