I never had any brake fade issues with the CWR ducts (AP BBK and race pads) but I would crack front rotors (slotted and solids) from heat well before they were near the wear limit.
The fully ducted was to help with the rotor cracking issue. Fully ducted on the street really isn't a good idea however due to the compromises. I'll probably go back to the CWR ducts as my FD doesn't get tracked nearly enough to warrant the fully ducted setup.

The compromise in fully ducted setup isn't over-cooling so much as there's really no way to avoid rubbing with the front wheel because there's no place to route the hose.

For anything other than a fully setup track car these ducts are going to be a great addition to brake cooling. Not the perfect, but for a combo street/track car these are perfect...which is why CWR developed them in the first place!!!

i figured out rub-free routing on my FC with 3" ducting. tire hits sway bar first. i realize this is FD stuff- is there really no room in there?
i havnt been able to figure out a "plug" for my inlets yet, so i just drive around with them, but im mainly concerned with rocks/leaves/rodents/etc flying in there while driving.

Cryo treated AP rotors and Coleman HD rotors
FC and FD are completely different. The FC wheel well is like the grand canyon compared to the FD. I ran fully ducted front brakes in my old FC ITS car as well.

You can run ducted in a FD, depending on wheels/tyres.
A piece of annealed alloy tubing that's appropriately banged up at the limits of lock and using two bits of scat rather than one, should yield the desired result. Probably not a good idea with aggressive pads on the street, unless blanking them off entirely...and even then....
