295s in front 305s in back of FD?

295s in front 305s in back of FD?
295s in front 305s in back? or 295s all around? Has anyone done that combination on just stock rolled fenders? If yes I'd like to know the wheel offsets and how you did it

Hey, if you know them would you mind posting up the wheel sizes and offsets? I know it's been covered over and over but hearing everyones setups from time to time will help once it's time for me to get a new set of streets. And are you fenders stock or rolled?

I'm certainly not going for looks, but traction instead. Now I track the car and drive on street with 18x9.5 +45 front fenders are rolled. 25" ride height on all 4 corners. 285/30R18 on all 4 corners. Trying to size it up just a bit. If anyone is interested in 2 of my silver RPF1s of that size let me know ...

Mine are on 18x9.5 and 18x8.5 respectively.. both with +45 ofset. They're enkei rpo1's. fenders are not rolled. I don't think they'll have to be with this setup but honestly, I haven't had it out on the road yet. My project is still in the garage....

if 2muchpwr fits 285/30r18 all around on 18x9.5 then you should be able to fit 295 and 305 on 18x10 and 18x10.5 if you run a precise offset and roll the fenders a little more but also remember that he runs SUPER stiff spring rates to minimize suspesnion travel....

here is my 2cents - you wont see any difference in a 305 or a 285 if you mount them both on a wider wheel than you are currently using.
I mean to say if you just went with a 18x10.5 or 18x11 rear wheel and used the same 285 tire, you would see 90% as much imporvement as with the 305 on that same wheel width.
I had 18x10 with 285/30 neovas and it was easy to see the tire could fit an 18x11 and give me a little bit more contact patch.

Yeah I run same setup as him, except with a little different offset, so I had to roll front fenders. I know that I can get 18x10 +38 for the rear and roll those fenders for a 295 or even 305 fit. I completely agree same tire 285 would be wider on a 10" than a 9.5," but also 295 would be a bit wider than 285 as well on the same size rim.

Getting close. Need to decide in a 18x10 for a 295 for the FRONT, would +45 or +50 work better? I'd guess safer bet would be +45 to roll the fender more than taking a chance of hitting the shock with +50

yeah I only mentioned that 305 being weird because it is weird, not a good tire size at all for anything streetable.
I had 285/30 front and 295/30 rear, both on a 18x10 and they were so damn close it was silly to think anything other than wheel width would make the different in traction.

If anyone knows a wheel size and offset to run a 315 in the back without wide body please post up. I know I'll have to get aftermarket trailing arms and toe links and roll the fenders, just need to know that wheel size

Another option for track only set ups........hoosier has a new size with a 255/35-18.......the actual dimensions mirror the 275/40-17 but have the shorter overall diameter. Tread width is 10.3 and the diameter is close to stock......
I'll be running this tire on 10.5 width ccw's and 295's out back. I think this is a great set up for a road race car with power steering deleted......

hey kukri just be careful, some 315 tires are more like a 335, they can run really wide.
if you can, pickup a spare or old tire so you can try the 315 out or measure it to compare to your current setup....

yeah when I saw my buddies unmounted 315 next to his unmounted 275, it was outrageous how much wider the 315 was'
we were both stunned and then had that deer in headlights look as we both thought "duuuur, thems not gunna fits in thar fendArs" doh!
and yeah next to a 335 the damn 315 was only a few mm smaller, wtf!??!?!
