295/30/18 on a 18x10 wheel, will it work?
I was going to go with a 285/30/18 but that size is not avalible in the brand tires I want (Michelin Pilot Sport PS2). So would there be any problems running a 295/30/18 on a 18x10 wheel with +50 offset on a fd?
On a side note both the 255/35/18 for the fronts and the 295/30/18 for the rears have almost the same diameter 25.2 f and 25 r and stock is 24.9.

Check on tirerack.com for the tech specs on that tire... they usually publish a range of suitable rim widths. I would bet that the minimum on that tire is a 10" or even 10.5"... not always the best for performance or looks to mount a tire on the smallest allowable rim... but you may be able to get a way with it.
If it's too wide for your rim, see if they have a 275/35/18 instead.

S/B fine, but as mentioned above, it would be better on a slightly wider rim. as far as fitment, check the section width, and tire height and compare it to known sizes that work with 2.5" springs, and aftermarket trailing arms.

295/30/18 Michelin Pilot Sport PS2
section width is 11.9"
overall diam. is 25"
285/30/18 Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Position
section width is 11.4"
overall diam is 24.8"
275/35/18 Michelin Pilot Sport PS2
section width is 10.9"
overall diam is 25.6"
and the front tire size I'm going with is
255/35/18 Michelin Pilot Sport PS2
overall diam is" 25.2
so when it comes to matching tire diam. front and rear, the 255 and 295 seem to be the best match with only a .2" difference.
I thing I'm going to go ahead and try it and see what happens.

It will be a tight fit. Here is a pic of my 285-30-18 on 18X10+49, it's close but does not touch. It's almost as close on the inside too. BTW the section width will vary with the rim width, so the specs may be different depending on the rim they used for that 295-30-18. Jeff

Get the 275/35/18.
It will comfortably fit on the rim, and i've heard tire engineers say that sometimes a "narrower" on a wide rim works better than a wide tire stuffed on the narrowest rim that fits.
I run the 275/35, 255/35 combo, and love it. Don't obssess over the diameter. I did that, along with stuffing wide tires on narrow rims on the first 2-3 sets of wheels i had on my car. Now i've run virtually every combo out there.
However, you've got a +50 rear, so you shouldn't have problems with fitting, at least on the fender side. My 10" wheels are only +42's.

Well I would go with the 275/35/18 but since I'm doing a LS1 swap yea yea don't flame me, I could really use the 295/30/18 due to the extra torque down low.

No flame at all... it's your car!
A little more sidewall may help you more in that regard... and so will a tire that isn't being bent on to a small rim... you're in effect rounding off the contact a bit. I had some 275/40/17's on 9" wheels once. Not only did they look ridiculous, but i really don't think they worked any better than a 255 or 265 that was the right size for the rim would have. just my 2 cents

i wish you good luck with the michelin tires, they have a very soft sidewall, even in the low profile style tires, you will most likely end up ******* up a rim if your car even looks at a bump wrong
