205/60/15 Goodyear Eagle HP?

My convertible I bought has 205/60/15 Goodyear Eagle HP tires on it. I looked on tirerack to see how they were reviewed, but it seems like they aren't made anymore. The closet I saw were the new HP ultra although those aren't made in this size from what I can tell. Does anyone know anything about the tire I have? So far they seem decent, but they don't seem the best on wet surfaces. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Well... I would say the best tire you can get for the stock tires is the BF Goodrich G-Force Sport. I was stuck buying a set of tires last spring and I was ready to go nuclear on the entire tire industry for not making a maximum performance tire in that size.

There is an Eagle GT-HR in our size, but that's a poor choice.

I've got a set of G-Force Sport's on my car, and they are pretty good. They grip well, aren't good in the rain though. They do wear kind of quickly, but my car is also a DD. For the price they are an all around good tire, IMO.

I have them in size 225/50/16, all around on my FC. Mods in sig.

I'm thinking of getting Yokohama AVS ES100's for mine, but was still curious if anyone knows about my existing tires.

The G-Force Sport appears to be better liked. The Yokohama is also only H-speed rated in our size, where OEM was V-rated. It's also $20 cheaper a tire. I find it to work very well in the rain and other wet conditions. I do not drive the car in snow or ice.

I was desperately seeking a Z+ rated tire, but the only one in our size sucks. I wish BF Goodrich had just made the KDW2 in our size instead of adding the Sport to their lineup.
