Speaking of offsets, what is a right offset for an FD on 17 or 18" rim ?

You might have rubbing issues. I did when I switched to my 18" wheels.

My wheels are 18 x 8.5" & 18 x 9.5" +45mm offsets all-around

I had Eibach's and Tokiko's with my 17 x 8"s and 9"s +35mm & +38mm. My tires rubbed against the fender lip and pulled it out an ruined the paint. I ended up having the fenders rolled and repainted.

Then I swtiched to the 18" wheels 235/40/18 & 265/35/18. The fenders cleared fine but the front tires rubbed against the tops of my wheel liners when I hit a dip on the freeway. The Eibach's were too soft and compressed too much. I should say that I had over 55k miles on those springs and shocks. i have since switched to M2 coile overs(adj height) and another set of tokiko's. No more rubbing. But thses springs are way stiffer than the progressive rate Eibach's...

Honestly, almost everyone who's ever lowered an FD or put upgraded rims and tires on it has some rubbing someplace in the front. The wheels wells are just small up front, and thats that.

I've had various combos of Racing Beat, Eibach, GC coilovers, stock wheels, 17x8" SSRs w/ 245/40/17 and 235/45/27, SSR 17x9" w/ 255/40/17, and 17x8.5 Fikse's, and running at various heights, and every last one of them rubbed someplace.

If you lower the car, plan on rolling the front fender lips no matter what. Otherwise you will not be able to go up an incline with the wheel turned. Plan on seeing wear marks on the top of the fender liners, or in front of the oil coolers too.
