OP,
Tons of info on CCWs can be found with a simple "search" in the suspension/wheel/tire/brake forum

The Varrstoen looks like a direct copy of the CCW classics. Their 18" wheel offsets leave a lot to be desired on a stock body RX-7 except for the 18x9.5+35.
I see no mention of price.
Unless the ES7's are a lot cheaper than the CCW's then you really should go with the CCW. You will get a set that is custom cut for what you want. Not a compromise based on whats offered.

18x10.5 +22 will stick out of the fenders 17mm more than the 18x11 +45 I have shown above.
On +22 offset (regardless of what rim width you choose) you will be able to fit a 225/40-18 with a front with a fender roll and will work on stock fenders in the rear with some camber.
On +22 offset (regardless of what rim width you choose) you will be able to fit a 245/35-18 with front fender roll/slight pull max front negative camber and a rear fender roll with some negative camber.
Offset determines the max tire width you can run. +45 is about the ideal front and rear with coilovers.

Whether a wheel clears the caliper is more a function of the design of the wheel.
If it has crazy wide lip and a flat wheel center face it is less likely to clear a caliper.
Those 18x9.5 +35 ES7s should clear stock caliper without a problem. They do have moderate lip and a flat wheel center face, but the stock FD caliper isn't very wide.
+35 offset will allow you to run 255/35-18 or 265/35-18 tire with just a front fender roll and negative camber and stock rear with some negative camber or a roll and no camber.

If you are seriously considering knockoffs, I would read post #1408 and later in this thread.

The CCWs will hold their value and pay for itself when you're constantly replacing the varrstoen due to cracks. I don't understand why you asked in the first place when all your responses show that you obviously want the Varrstoen.

You sound very ignorant. These people are giving you their opinion as you asked. If you decided you want knock offs then go get them instead of ignoring what everyone is saying. You obviously don't know the difference of a real vs knock off if you have to ask which you should get.

the only issue i had with the varrstoens was that the center caps didnt sit flush with the face of the wheel and where they did sit wasnt consistent from wheel to wheel. The finish on the wheels was a little lacking as well. the finish on my gram lights looks 100x better.
Edit: the ES7 wheels look awesome btw. i wanted to get them, but they took so long to go on sale i got the LM reps instead. offsets really depend on what you're planning on doing with the car.

I have a set of ES222 on my r33 and ES113 on my daily aristo and never had issues of cracking rims. I don't care if u have $100 a rim or $5000 a rim, you hit any pot hole or curb your messing it up!! you calling me ignorant ,but who's the one that says a set of rims hold value? what they made of silver?? I don't care what you say no one is paying new price for a set of used ccw

i had a set of varrstoens and i dont think i was ever in a situation where i was constantly replacing cracked rims. if i think back on it, i'm pretty sure i didnt need to replace any of them. i know several people that have them on their cars as well and they haven't needed replacements either. i researched a lot when i was looking at wheels and this forum post was the only one i could find where the damage was sketchy. if you read though the thread, the OPs story is kinda shady and he probably hit the pothole going faster than he stated.

when I started this tread I did it to get an idea on how ccw/es7 will look on a FD and sizes people used.

My point at that was CCWs will hold value much better than any replica set of wheels. No ones paying new price for a used set of anything because that isn't even what I said.
I agree, to an extent. Real forged wheels are a lot stronger but when damaged, usually don't crack like replicas or just cast wheels in general.
I didn't realize that the actual question wasn't should I get the CCWs or varrstoen. It is how it would look on an FD. My mistake sorry. I bet it would look real nice though.

What does me saying that have anything to do with me being ignorant? You have lots of nice cars apparently but it doesn't account for much.

265/40. No roll and no rub unless at full lock. It's lowered on Zeal coilovers.
Don't forget, if you use a squared set-up (all 4 the same width and offset), you can rotate your tires and save some bucks down the line.

I have 18x9.5 +22 and 18x10.5 +22 rims. I can always have the backs milled to change the offset. what offset would I need to make it to fit with out rolling ?
