15 in front, 17 in rear

hi, i was planning to put the 15 x 6 "balonee slicers " wheels with 205 / 55 15 tires in the front, and put some 17 x 9 wheels with 255/40 17 in the rear. what do you think about the safety, drivebility of that ? how the car will behave ? the look dont care.

thanks

mike !

why would you want to do that? 205s are just fine for an FC so I wouldn't think of them as baloney slicers. 255s are way too big for a 90FC thats not putting out mid-300s horsepower. there is no point in putting 17s on the rear you accomplish nothing than making it look like someone stole your front wheels. car would feel unbalanced overall. read the stickies and learn why.

16 x 7 in front and 17 x 9 in the rear may look okay, but a two inch difference would look redicules.

I'd personally stick with the same size rims, perhaps wider in the rear.

Take my AE86 in my signature for example, that's what a two inch difference looks like and believe me, it doesn't look good, but there's not much i can do until i do a hub swap so the offset will be proper.

The Z06's have 18's in the rear and 17's in the front i believe..and they look badass on the vette..why wouldn't 16's in the front and 17's in the back look good on a FC or FD? I think they would look allright.

Chevrolet didn't stagger the wheels for looks. The Z06 puts out 400 hp.
