I'm former active currently active reserve navy. No money but when i have some i'll be after one of your 35r kits.

Also, a friend of mine former army currently a contractor somewhere in the sandbox is working on an almost budget-less evo8 build. Another friend is still serving after two deployments to iraq has a 240sx hatch w/ a sr20. is this rx7 club only or might one or both of them be able to jump in on this?

Zero R 01-03-07 10:06 AM

If they are active duty and we have product we make for their platform we can work something out. I can't discount Greddy or HKS stuff really as the internet whores already have that stuff down to absolute minimum price.

NSANITY 03-30-07 07:59 PM

I haven't even read the entire thread, however, thank you for your kindness with offering a discount on parts. I've been in the Supra community for 4 of my 6 years on active duty service and spent ungodly amounts of money and never saw such a discount. Now I've decided to spend some time with the FD3S and I look forward to doing business with A-Spec.

Hats Off to you guys...........plus you guys are in my home state...IL. How could I go wrong!

I will certainly be in touch very, very soon..........Yes I sold the Supra! :)

Zero R 03-31-07 06:11 PM

:) No problem I am more than greatful to all who serve. The discounts aren't huge but I do what I can to show appreciation.

No problem sir, 630.825.0333

lt1_rx7 04-17-08 02:24 PM

Hey, I was just wondering if the discounts you offer are strictly for those currently on active duty? Or does it apply to veterans as well? I personally spent 7 of my 8 years in the reserves and one year on active and served in Iraq in '04. I'm just asking because I plan to eventually order a kit from you and if I can get a discount, great, if not, then oh well...but just wanted to ask...

Zero R 04-19-08 12:17 PM

Discounts are for A-spec product only. ie not other manufacturers. Also as long as you are active duty I see no reason not to offer the discount. If you served in the current theaters your good to go as well. Hope that makes some sense.

finneymc 04-20-08 06:23 PM

dont know if you guys are still doing this (thread is kinda old) but it is really cool none the less. Thanks for supporting us. We dont see military discounts much, unless we go like a bajillion miles away from base. Thanks for offering this kinda stuff to us military folk

yeah man, it does...i'll be sure to let you know when i'm ready for one of your GT35R kits...

Archie 04-20-08 07:22 PM

Sweet, I've been debating the GT500R. I'm a reservist who left AD in November; I've served in Iraq.

Thanks Zero/A-Spec for showing your appreciation. Too many people mix politics up with folks in uniforms. We just do what our elected officials tell us!

Post this in the lounge and/or fire me a PM. I'm navy and will give you the low-down, but that isn't the purpose of this thread.

In related news, i'll be making some purchases from the sandbox in a few months. Seems money isn't going to be the issue anymore...

Thanks very much for offering the discount! Its very nice to see that people are still apprecaitive, like others have mentioned! I was wondering if you do any tuning with turbo carb cars. I have a gt35r custom setup with a 47 OER im doing a blowthrough setup on. I know it looks bad that I didn't buy any parts from you but i didn't realize that you probably had what i needed. (Custom mani and DP etc ?) If no discount thats fine. Still wondering if you would like to tune something like that? Thanks Alot!! You are much appreciated!

It's awesome that you guys have been doing this for several years now, when I get back from afghannyland part II I'll be looking for a single for my FD, and I will be headed your way first

Zero R 10-12-10 12:26 PM

I wont stop doing it just because it's not in the media like it was a few years back, you guys still go over there and risk everything so I see no reason to stop the offer.

Onisamu 10-25-11 08:20 PM

Can you help a military member stationed in Hawaii? Just blew my engine ('93 Fd) and having trouble sourcing parts, shops, etc. because of my location. I think my core won't be very rebuildable so need help there.... also, I want to upgrade to a single turbo via one of your kits. I'm thinking the gt35r but open to suggestions. This is simply a street driven car so not going crazy =) I have a full RE-A exhaust already but stock IC, no P-FC yet (need one of them too), and a cold air intake. If you can shoot me a PM or email at shipsaegi@hotmail.com I'd appreciate it!

whereiswaldo 11-05-12 08:04 PM

Thanks for supporting the troops and providing a discount. This is coming from a military service member my self . !! Kudos !!! Thanks you !!!
